Lifetime Warranty

Things don’t seem to last the way they used to. Many manufacturers have reduced the quality of materials to save money and make things cheaper. I am also convinced that they hope the customer will return to buy another item sooner. There are not many purchases that we make that come with a lifetime warranty.

As we witness the quality of most of the things we buy go down, there is something that the Word of God says comes with a lifetime warranty: our salvation. Jesus offers us eternal life, not temporary life. Not life until something happens. I am so thankful for the scriptures that are timeless. Jesus speaks directly to this issue in John 10:27-30: “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. I and My Father are one." These verses tell us that our salvation has a lifetime warranty. Jesus tells us that we will never perish. That means we who are purchased by the blood of Christ and have accepted His death on the cross as the payment for our sins are kept secure. We are safe in the hands of Christ and the hands of the Father, and no one is able to snatch us out.

Another passage of scripture that reassures us about our lifetime warranty is Romans 8:29,30: “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. Our wonderful salvation involves God’s choosing us, calling us, and justifying us. We are then declared glorified. Even though we have not experienced our ultimate glorification it is just as good as done in the eyes of God.

Our air conditioners will fail, our phones will run out of battery, and our vehicles will all end up in the junkyard. But our salvation comes with a lifetime warranty.
